List of services of Upazila Food Controller's office

01. Supply of ration: Ration is supplied through dealers among the 4th class employees working in various government offices of the upazila.

02. Distribution of food grains through fair price card: Food grains are sold through Fair price card among the poor people of the upazila.

03. Distribution of Foodgrains in OMS Sector: The sale of foodgrains is carried out through OMS among the public at affordable prices.

04. Supply of food grains to the VGD sector: To meet the food needs of poor, widowed and abandoned women, food grains are distributed and served through this program.

05. Distribution of food grains in GR sector: Food grains are distributed under this program among the poorest people affected by natural calamities.

06. TR & Kabikha: Infrastructural development is supported through distribution of food grains in TA and Kabikha sectors.

07. Foodgrain Licenses: Licenses are issued and renewed to various types of foodgrain dealers and wheat crust mills. Through this some government revenue is collected.

08. Procurement of Paddy, Rice and Wheat: During Aman and Boro seasons, paddy and wheat are procured from the farmers and rice from rice mill owners (under contract with the government) based on the announced target levels as per government policy. Besides, food grains imported from abroad and received through donation are stored in LSD.
